Hiking in Malibu

So I love hiking, and anytime I can get outdoors I do!

Luckily, one of LA's strengths (maybe second to amazing hole-in-the-wall Asian food joints) is the plethora of trails scattered throughout the city. So over the weekend, I decided to check out Malibu Creek State Park. It's a beautiful sprawling landscape tucked away in Calabasas (Don't lie, you recognize this from Keeping up with the Kardashians) with several trails throughout. Tip: It's $12 to park in the visitors center but there is plenty of free parking on Mulholland Highway with easy access to the grasslands trail.

The park is most famous for the M*A*S*H set and the Rock Pool - the two places I actually didn't even end up seeing, haha. (Will have to come back for that) but i did make it to the Crescent Lake and up the lookout trail to see the impressive views up top.

Yelp mentioned that it's usually pretty crowded but there was no one there - probably half the heat and half the World Cup final but we hiked 7 miles before finally finding my way to a bar to catch Gotze lead the Germans to a World Cup win.
